Tasty Apple Crisp
Preheat oven to 375

medium apples
- ½
lemon
- 1/3
cup sugar
- 2
tbsp flour
- ½
tsp cinnamon
- 1
tbsp apricot preserves
- ½
cup flour
- ½
cup brown sugar
- ½
cup old fashion oats
- ½
cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- ½
tsp cinnamon
- 8
tbsp butter or margarine softened
1. Peel and core
apples, slice in ¼ inch thin slices.
2. Place in mixing
bowl, squeeze lemon over apples and toss it all with the 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tbsp
flour and ½ tsp cinnamon. Add the apricot preserves. Pour into pan.
3. For topping: in a
bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, oats, nuts and cinnamon.
4. Cut margarine in
small pieces and add to bowl using fingers. Rub to make big crumbs.
5. Sprinkle crumbs over
the apples and spread evenly.
6. Bake uncovered for
45 minutes. The top will be brown, the apples soft.
