Kids Cook - Recipe of the Day

CHOCOMANIA Chocolate Cake

Preheat oven to 350
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk or soy milk
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • chocolate frosting and/or toppings of your choice
  1. Grease a 8 or 9 inch round baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, & baking powder.
  3. Add the milk, oil, vanilla and egg.
  4. Beat with a mixer for about 3 minutes until all combined and batter is creamy.
  5. Pour the batter in the prepared pan.
  6. Place the pan in the oven for 30 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the cake should come out clean. If not, bake for another 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Frost up the cake and top with the toppings of your choice.
